THE WEATHER
Overcast and threatening weather was experienced yesterday, with occasional light showers. A ' light easterly wind prevailed, and the maximum temperature was 57 degrees. The barometer showed little movement, registering between 29.82 and 29.87. REPORTS FROM THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, October 22. Although the weather was fine to-day, a fresh and increasing north-east wind was blowing. The conditions were cloudy and threatening. The barometer was falling, and registered 30.00 in at 5 p.m. WELLINGTON. October 22. The weather was dull and misty during the morning, with occasional light rain. In the afternoon the clouds were more broken and the conditions milder. _ A strong, squally north-west wind prevailed. The maximum temperature was 58.0 deg. CHRISTCHURCH, October 22. The weather was mainly overcast, with a maximum temperature of 62.3 degrees. There was a very light south-west breeze in the morning, changing to a moderate easterly in the afternoon. The barometer is rising slowly, and now registers 29.?' inches.
