Ministerial. The Postmaster-general, Mr Adam Hamilton, arrived in Dunedin by the limited express last night and will continue his journey to Wellington this morning.

Mr H. W. Pedrce and Mr J. P. Veule returned to Christchurch by the express last night. . - Mr J, A. Dunning was a passenger for Auckland by the second express on Saturday morning. • Mr G. T. After a week’s stay in the capital they will proceed to Auckland. Mr W. B. Bridger, of Blackstone Hill, Central Otago, arrived in Dunedin on Saturday night, and will remain in the city for a few days. . , Mr A. M'Kegg, of Wanaka, who has been on a visit to the North Island, was a passenger by the express from the north on Saturday. Mr A. G. Beadle, of the Public Works Department, Invercargill, has been advised of his transfer to the Dunedin office of the department. He will arrive from the south to-morrow morning. Dr A. R. Falconer returned to Dunedin on Saturday afternoon from Wellington, after attending the annual meeting of the South African War Veterans’ Association and a meeting of the commandery, of the Order of St. John. The Eastern Southland and South Otago Women’s hockey teams passed through Dunedin by the express last night cn their way to take part in the Dominion tournament at Gisborne, Mr V. C. Kamilton and Mr J. Moloney travelled with the teams. , , , Bishop Fitehett has accepted the resignation of the Rev. C. W. Foreman, vicar of Waikouaiti, to take effect on November 30. For some time Mr Foreman has been suffering ill-health, and he intends, proceeding to England. Mr R. W. Arnold, who for the past 12 months has been acting superintendent of the Borstal Institution in Invercargill, has been appointed superintendent 'by the Public Service Commissioner. For five years previously Mr Arnold was chief officer at the institution.
