NAZI PROGRAMME
POLICY TOWARDS JEWS
DR SCHACHT’S STATEMENT
(United Press Association) (By Electric Te'egraph—Copyright)
BERLIN, August 18,
Dr Schacht, opening the East German fnr, attacked Herr Streicher’s Jewbaiting methods, and declared that the Nazi programme, while debarring Jews from comradeship and citizenship, gave them protection under the laws which were now being framed, by which Jews could not be arbitrarily victimised. This also applied to the religious question. Germany stood midway in the greatest task in history. Whoever interfered with
the Government's policy did a dangerous thing. Priests must not intermingle with politics, and Jews must realise that they were no longer dominant. State leadership, not individual action, must solve these problems. The people’s savings were safe, but rigorous economy must be exercised. THE JEWISH EXODUS MUNICH, August 18.
The Racial Statistician (Dr Conti) computes Germany’s population as 1,000,000 fewer owing to the Jewish exodus. Germany now contains 500,000 full-blooded Jews, and 1,500,000 "nonAryans, compared with 2,500,000 in 1912. ,
