DRAINAGE BOARD
MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Dunedin Drainage and Sewerage Board last evening was attended by the Mayor (the Rev E. T. Cox), in the chair, and Messrs F. Jones, J. W. Munro, M. Silverstone, W. Begg, W. H. Scott, A. H. Allen, F. W. Mitchell, D. C. Cameron, P. Neilson, W. W. Batchelor and Dr D. G. M‘Millan.
The reports of the Finance and Works Committee were adopted without discussion, and it was decided, on the motion of Mr Silverstone, to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for authority to raise a loan of £50,000 for necessary drainage and sewerage work in the board’s district.
