FORTUNATE BUSINESS MAN TICKET WORTH £12,000 The winners of the first prize of £12,000 in Tattersall'a consultation drawn on July 12 are Mr Keith Mitchell, manager of the tea department of Messrs J. Rattray and Son, and Mr Walter Brundell, the manager of the firm's Oamaru branch. While Mr Mitchell was on a business trip to Oamaru he and Mr Brundell purchased the ticket between them from Mr W. J. Currie, a tobacconist in the northern town, using the nom de plume of " Tiger de Lux-" This is the second prize of £12,000 to come to Dunedin within the past 12 monthsx The other prize was won by two employees of the Otago Harbour Board. Mr Brundell ib a married man with three children. He received confirmation of the good news from Mr Mitchell by telephone, and when interviewed by the Otago Daily Times representative yesterday morning said that he could hardly realise his good fortune. His fellow workers in the firm appeared to be much more excited than Mr Brundell, who accepted the position calmly, and intimated that he intended to carry on his work as usual.

Mr Mitchell is the firm's tea expert at Dunedin, and it was during a visit to Oamaru, when the placing of a new high grade tea, named " Tiger de Lux," on the market was discussed that they decided to have a ticket in Tattersall's. Mr Currie, through whom the ticket was obtained, will benefit to the extent of £240.
