LORD WAKEFIELD
HONOURED BY LONDON FREEDOM OF THE CITY (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 23. if (Received July 24, at 5.5 p.m.) Lord Wakefield, whose name has been associated in recent years with encourage ment of record breaking attempts on land and water and in the air, received
to-day the freedom of the City of London. He is a former Lord Mayor and the honour is unique for a member of the corporation. Tributes were paid to Lord Wakefield's many acts of generosity and benevolence.
