ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
DROWNED IN RIVER CHILD FALLS OVER BANK. (Peb United Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH. July 23. The body of lan Bertran Paul. aged 83 years, who strayed from the home of his parents, Mr and Mrs Leonard Paul, of Kaimata, yesterday afternoon, was found in 3ft of water in the river three chains from a 50ft bank, over which it is surmised that he walked.
1 A large party of Inglewood residents cearched all night over a wide area for the boy, whose body was only 200 yards from the house.
COLLISION WITH PEDESTRIANS
As the result of a motor cycle colliding with pedestrians, three persons were admitted to the Dunedin Hospital at 7.40 last night suffering from minor injuries. Mrs Constance M'Hardy, aged 31, and hei son. Kenneth M'Hardy. aged five, who are nsiting Dunedin on holiday from Timaru and were staying at 14 Burns street, Cavershani, were struck by a motor cyclist, Horace Adams, near the Cavershani tram terminus. Mrs M'Hardy suffered a fractured left arm and abrasions to the left leg. Her son received wounds to the face, and the cyclist, Adams, suffered injuries to the left foot. Adams, who is aged 20, resides at 7 Lees street.
