CONDITIONS IN GERMANY MASSES DISCONTENTED (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, July 22. The Manchester Guardian’s Berlin correspondent says that the antiSemitic campaign is a desperate attempt to divert public attention from economic realities. The collapse of foreign trade and the failure of Herr Schacht’s new plan to remedy it have caused widespread fears of inflation among the investing and propertied classes, and the masses are discontented at the low wages. The Stahlhehns hare strongly resisted Hitlerism, especially in respect of anti-Semitism. If Nazis dissolve the Stahlhelm organisations throughout Germany it will be difficult to prevent their reappearance in another form. Meaiiwhile the Nazis are concentrating on Jews. General Da leuge, a colleague of Count Von Helldorf, denounces Jews as criminals, and declares that the pickpockets are almost all Jews wl\o are also the principal drug traffickers and gaming house proprietors 1 and sponsors of other illegal activities.
