A GENERAL RATE under Section 77 of “ The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933,” of TWO SHILLINGS in the £ on the rateable value on the valuation roll of all rateable property within the Borough of Port Chalmers. 2. A SEPARATE LIGHTING RATE under Section 89 of “ The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933,” of TWOPENCE HALFPENNY (24d) in the £ on the rateable value on the valuation roll of all rateable property within the Borough of Port Chalmers. 3. A SEPARATE RATE to be known as the HOSPITAL RATE under Section 52 of “The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926”'0f FOURPENCE HALFPENNY (4id) in the £ on the rateable value on the valuation roll of all rateable property within the Borough of Port Chalmers. 4. WATER RATES under Section 82 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933.” In respect to the Ordinary Supply as follows: —Upon all lands and buildings to which water is supplied, the rateable value on which on the valuation roll does not exceed £l2 10s, a RATE OF TEN SHILLINGS (10s). exceeds £l2 10s, a KATE of 5 PER CENT, on such valuation. Upon all lands and buildings to which water can be but is not supplied, situated within one hundred yards of any part of the waterworks, and upoi} all buildings used as stores and warehouses, or for any purpose other than as a dwelling house, a RATE OF ONE HALF of the Rates abovementioned. 5. A SPECIAL RATE under the provisions of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926.” of ONE PENNY HALFPENNY (lid) in the £ on the rateable value on the valuation roll of all rateable property within the Borough of Port Chalmers, levied for the purpose of meeting annual loan charges on the “ Mussel Bay Drainage and Sewerage Loan, 1934.” 6. A SANITATION FEE Under Section 90 of “ The Municipal Corporations Act. 1933,” of THIRTY SHILLINGS (3Cs) per pan for the removal of nightsoil from all properties within the Borough of Port Chalmers to which such service is given. 7. EXTRAORDINARY WATER SUPPLY, under Section 82 of “ The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933,” as set out in the Borough By-Laws, for places having flush down W.C.’s, other than hotels and those paying special water supply rate for same, an Annual Fee of TEN SHILLINGS (10s) for each flush w.c The above rates and fees are payable in one sum and in each case on the 13th day of August, 1935, at the Town Clerk’s Office, Beach street. Port Chalmers, and the ADDITIONAL CHARGE of 10 per cent, provided under Section 76 of “ The Rating Act, 1925,” will be imposed on all such rates and fees which shall remain unpaid after the 2Sth day of February, 1936.
