THE DEMOCRATS
MR GOODFELLOWS POSITION STILL INTERESTED IN THE PARTY (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, July 22. With the general election only about four months distant there is already activity in political circles throughout New Zealand. The most interesting feature in this year’s election will be the emergence of the new political party, the Democrats. Since the inception of the narty the name of Mr W. Goodfellow has been prominently linked with it, but of late rumours have been current not only in Auckland, but also in the south that he has severed his connection with the organisation. Mr Goodfellow today declined to discuss the position, but it could be gathered that his interest in the party is maintained.
