THE WEATHER
- Fine, sunny weather and a light easterly breeze were ’experienced yesterday, foblowing the heaviest frost of the season. The temperature 8 a.m. was 34 and the maximum for the day was 45 dogrees. The barometer fell several points, and registered 30.30 in at 4 p.m. CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, July 22. A boisterous north-east wind and very wet weather were experienced to-day. Continuous heavy rain fell this morning and continuous light rain with overcast threatening conditions prevailed thi* afternoon and evening. The weather disturbance was not indicated by the barometer, which has been steady at 30.051 E since mid-day on Saturday. WELLINGTON. July 22. Wellington experienced a fine day with continuous sunshine and a light east-south-east wind. The maximum temperature was 55.1 degrees. . CHRISTCHURCH, July 22. The weather to-day was heavily overcast, with a light drizzle late in the afternoon, continuing this evening. A light north-east breeze in the morning changed to northerly in the afternoon. The maximum temperature was 47. The barometer is steady, and now registers 30.30 m.
