SWIMMING WOMEN’S RECORD BROKEN. (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) MONTREAL, July 21. Lenore Kight, of Homestead (Pennsylvania); broke the world’s record for the Half-mile Freestyle at the women’s national swimming championships with a time of llmin 34sec, compared with the previous record of Helen Madison, llmin 41 2-ssec. Mary Lou Petty, of Seattle, also broke the record to finish second in llmin 39 l-ssec.
