HOPKINS VERSUS BLOMFIELD (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 22. Making his first appearance in Auckland the English wrestler, George Hopkins, drew with “ Lofty ” Blomfield in a professional heavy-weight contest, the decision being given on points after each contestant had secured a fall. Hopkins took the first fall in the fourth round with a press after weakening his opponent with a series of headlock throws. Blomfield evened matters in the seventh round, feigning he was dazed by his opponent’s throws until he caught the latter napping and dumped him to complete the fall with a body press.
