MILK MARKETING SCHEME (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 19. A poll .of registered producers tinder the milk marketing scheme, which has been in operation since the autumn of 1933, to decide whether or not the scheme shall be ended, as provided for in the Act, will take place between August 3 and 15. A poll was recently suggested by the chairman of the Milk Marketing Board in view of the criticisms of the board's policy by some producers. BRITISfI FASCISTS, LTD - AN UNHAPPY VENTURE LONDON, July 19. "Although formed to organise Fascism in Britain this company appears to be incapable of organising itself," declared the Official Receiver, when winding up British Fascists, Ltd. The minutes revealed continuous dissensions among the executive committees. Although the membership in 1933 was 400,000, the subscriptions from 1928 to 1935 averaged £3OO per annum. The organisation's failure was attributed to the competition of the Mosleyites and the general apathy to Fascism. BRITISH DEPRESSED AREAS (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 20. (Received July 21, at 0.50 p.m.) The report of the Commissioner for Special Areas in England and Wales, which contains proposals for assisting areas which suffered most severely in the depression, will be debated in the House of Commons on Tuesday on a Labour motion. SUPPRESSING THE STAHLHELM MOVEMENT BERLIN, July 19. The secret police ordered the immediate dissolution of the Stahlhelm in Silesia. The wearing of Stahlhelm badges and uniforms, and the holding of meetings have been forbidden in Thuringia. Several Stahlhelm leaders were sent to concentration camps. JAPAN AND RUSSIA TOKIO, July 21. (Received July 21? at 9 p.m.) Mr K. Hirota, Minister of Foreign Affairs, replying to the Soviet, accuses the Soviet of attempting to mislead public opinion regarding Japanese conduct in Manchuria.
