When Steven miskicked to his own goal, M'Dougall jumped to punch out. Old Boys returned and M'Dougall had difficulty in stopping a shot by Chapman, and Ryan vainly endeavoured to breast the hall through. From the goal kick, Stenhouse sent Mosgiel on attack. A corner resulted and Kicolson's kick was turned outside by Fyfe when well-placed. Old Boys were playing hard but displayed poor cohesion amongst the forwards, and Skinner returned through the centre. M'Lean placed well to Nicolson, who shot outside. Latimer got away, but Steven recovered and forced the winger to place behind. Mosgiel 3, Old Boys 1. Old Boys came through with nice play. Chapman, Romeril, and Grant beatine the opposition. Chapman was slow in shooting when the winger crossed, and M'Dougall came out to clear.
