MAGISTRATE’S C6URT At a sitting of the Port Chalmers Magistrate’s Court yesterday morning, before Mr J. li. Bartholomew, S.M., a civil case was heard in which John Watson, Ltd., claimed £2 4s Cd from Joseph T. Erridgc for goods supplied. Judgment by default was given for the full amount, with costs (15s). HARNESS DAMAGED The Port Chalmers police are at present investigating damage done to harness belonging to the contractor for railway I horse haulage on the wharves. The harness was stored in a railway enclosure, and on Wednesday night it was slashed, the cuts in the leather having evidently been done with a sharp knife.
