OBITUARY
SIR HARRISON MOORE (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) MELBOURNE, July 1. (Received July 1, at 11.30 p.m.) The death has occurred of Sir Harrison Moore, professor and dean of the faculty of law at Melbourne University from 1882 to 1927. He was a noted constitutional lawyer, and was 68 years of age MR W. R. LEEDER (Peb United Picess Association) CHRISTCHURCH, July 1. The death is recorded of Mr W. B. Leeder, aged 73 years, engineer to the Wairewa County Council, and formerly of Kaikoura and South Otago. MR C. E. MOORHOUSE The death occurred in Christchurch on Saturday afternoon of Mr Charles Edwin Moorhouse, at the age of 70 years. Mr Moorhouse, who was born in England, was the son of Mr William Seftftn Moorhouse, a nephew of the second Superintendent of Canterb ry. He arrived in New Zealand at the age of 10 in the barque Peter Denny, and since that time had resided in Otago and Canterbury, in gold mining in Central Otago and for a number of years he was engaged in gold mining in Central Otago and Southland. He was at one time ar enthusiastic yachtsman, and was a prominent competitor in many of the earlier regattas on Otago Harbour. For many years he was an officer in the Otago division of the Naval Volunteers. He was a keen angler, and a good shot. Mr Moorhouse is survived by a widow and a family of seven.
