MAHARAJAH OF PATIALA
SERIOUS ILLNESS IN PARIS PRAYERS FOR RECOVERY LONDON, June 30. A three days’ prayer meeting for the Maharajah of Patiala, who is seriously ill in Paris, was concluded in the upper rooms of a house in London. The meeting was attended by 50 Sikhs—men, women and children. Relays of six readers cook two-hour spells to read the Sikh scriptures from the beginning to the end. The Maharajah of Patiala had a heart attack in London during the jubilee celebrations.
