A GREAT POWER AGAIN
GERMANY UNDER NAZISM DR GOEBBELS’S DECLARATION BERLIN, June 30. “The fact that Britain has concluded a naval agreement with Germany proves that Germany is again a great sovereign Power,” declared Dr Goebbels, addressing 150,000 Nazis assembled on Templehof Field during the congress held on the eve of the anniversary of last year’s Nazi “ purge,” when 200 were executed. Dr Goebbels added: “We want to threaten nobody, but want nobody to threaten us. The army and Nazism will ensure, external peace.” Dr Goebbels’s only reference to foreign affairs was his declaration that Germany’s re-entering the League of Nations would be a delusion.
