TAME TIGER GOES WILD

Blang. a tiger who once frolicked with his master in the garden of a Malayan bungalow, was taken to England, and has now “ goife native.” He is one of the most fierce tigers in the London Zoo. While he was domesticated he had complete freedom in the bungalow and its environs. He ate his dinner from the same plate as a dog, had his hath regularly in a barrel, and went for rides in a motor car. A little while ago a man arrived at the Zoo who knew Blang in his cub days and often pLyed with him. Keeper Hopgood, who has been in the lion house for 35 years, warned the visitor about Blang. The two approached the cage. Blang purred with delight. It seemed he recognised his old playmate. He put his paw through the bars, and the visitor moved forward. Instantly Blang’s pawing gesture changed from a gentle waving to a vicious tearing blow with • all his terrible claws exposed. The visitor’s waistcoat was ripped from top to bottom.
