MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the Otago Football Association was held last night, Mr M, G. MTnnee presiding. „ ' . The secretary of the New Zealand Football Council wrote confirming the suspension of two weeks imposed recently on a Maori Hill Fourth Division player for using obscene language on the field of play.—Received. The. secretary of the Fairfield Football Club advised that his committee agreed to the payment of the expenses of a town referee for its matches at Fairfield.—-The matter was referred to the Referees’ Club.' The Technical College Old Boys’ Association Football Club applied for the regrading of W. Vernon from First to Second Division.—The matter was referred to the Transfer Committee. The New Zealand Football Council advised that it had granted a clearance for G. R. Phillips from, the Diamond Club, of Wellington.—Received. A complaint that'the referees appointed for two games played on Littlebourne Ground on, Saturday did not appear was received, and it was decided to call the attention of the Referees', Club to the matter. ■ .• * In a report submitted to the meeting respecting the broadcast of results of matches by 4YA in Saturday night’s early news session, it was stated that the local station had experienced difficulty in obtaining the various results, but that the director had expressed his willingness to broadcast the results provided they were handed in or telephoned to the station early. As suggested in the report, it was decided to circularise all clubs asking them to appoint a person in each team to communicate results regularly and expeditiously to 4YA, and also to the daily papers. OTAGO JUNIORS v. SOUTHLAND. It was announced that the junior team to play Southland at Invercargill on Saturday would leave by the 8.33 am. express on the morning of the match with Mr N. C. Keach as manager. The Match Committee recommended that, with the exception of the Port Chalmers v. Y.M.Q.A. fixture, Second Division matches be postponed for next Saturday, and this was agreed to.
