VIOLENT STORM
DAMAGE IN GLASGOW LIGHTNING STRIKES HOUSES (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON. June 24. Twenty houses were struck by lightning during a violent early morning storm at Glasgow. Roofs were torn off and the houses set on fire. The storm water was sometimes 4ft deep, and drove the residents from their homes. A burst water main and the failure of the electric light increased the confusion. Fifteen residents of a tenement had barely reached the street when the roof fell in, penetrating three floors.
