OTAGO FARMERS' CO-OPERATIVE ASSOCIATION
TO THE EDITOR
Sib, —With reference to the meeting called for Thursday next to consider a proposal to write d<jwn the capital of the Otago Farmers' Co-operative Association, it seems that it would be pertinent to suggest that the shareholders should be satisfied that the reconstruction would be in their own interests. In, my opinion, as a shareholder in the company,, the directors would have gained the further confidence of the members of the company if they had invited a committee appointed by the. shareholders to investigate the position'and give their report. Perhaps it is not too late for the shareholders to approach the matter from this angle.—l am, etc., Shareholder No. 2. Mosgiel, June 25.
