A MOZART CONCERT- '. . Mozart's music is without doubt outstanding. The great chorus from " The Magic Flute," ff Osis and Osiris," is a splendid example of this great composer's masterly choral writing, wnilst the soprano solo, " Hours of Joy, go to prove how well he understood the human voice and how he kept tuneful and interesting all his compositions. The Choral Society'* selection of Mozart for their next concert in the Town Hall on Tuesday next is * very wise one, and public support should be liberal. Everyone can appreciate Mozart for the reason that his works ar« so delightfully understandable. With tha chorus, " Osis and Osiris," the soloist will be Mr J. D. M'Kechnie, who possesses a rich bass voice. Mrs Leonard Cronia will also be heard in one of "The Magia Flute" numbers, "Hours of Joy." Sha will also render the' "Figaro" number "'Tis a Madness." In the concerto of two pianos and the orchestra. Miss Winifred Gardner and Mrs B. R. Nees will be the solo pianists. The Ave Veruna* chorus is a charmingly written work for a full chorus, possessing • many opportunities for shading effects.
