Owing to the strike of deckhands and cooks about 4000 shore and ship hands were thrown idle in Hull during mid-April. Our picture shows some of the 200 ships lying idle in St. Andrew's dock. Trawlers were sent to other docks in Hull pending the settlement of the strike.
