LEAGUE OF NATIONS UNION
ACTIVITIES OF YOUTHS' BRANCH Tt was a splendid idea on the part of the committee of the Youths' Branch of the local League of Nations Union to arrange for the demonstration by members of the Dunedin secondary schools at the Burt Hall last night. The committee af the Youth's Branch is composed of a member from each of the Dunedin secondary schools. There was not a vacant seat in the hall, and the addresses by the youths and the girk were listened to with the keenest interest. The addresses showed that the speakers had given much thought to their respective subiects, and one could not but be impressed with the value of the demonstration in helping and guiding the thought of the youthful members of the audience particularly. Each address was limited to six minutes. Some of the speakers read their addresses, some spoke with a glance now and then at their notes, and some spoke entirely impromptu. At intervals during the evening items were eiven bv the Technical College orchestra. The chair was occupied by Mr N. S Woods. The following is a list of the speakers, with their subjects:— "Idealistic View of Disarmament.
