PREMISES RANSACKED
UNSUCCESSFUL ATTEMPT TO BLOW SAFE. (Per United Press Association) PALMERSTON N., April 11. An unsuccessful attempt to blow a double-locked safe was made last night on the premises of Messrs Goldingham and Beckett, in Ling street, by burglars, who in a leisurely way searched the°warehouse for money and keys, and decamped with a quantity of tobacco and two suitcases. The intruders thoroughly ransacked the premises, but found no cash. They blew the first lock off the safe, but the second lock resisted their efforts.
