APPEAL TO CHURCHES
CONDEMNATION OF WAR SUPPORT FOR THE LEAGUE LONDON, April 11. (Received April 11, at 7.25 p.m.) Following Dr F. W. Norwood’s outspoken address in condemnation of war, the Notional Free Church Assembly passed a resolution that war was contrary to the mind of Christ. God had willed its abolition. The resolutipn called on the Free Churches to give the utmost support to the League of Nations and press for disarmament. It appealed to the churches throughout the world to resist excessive nationalism and to urge the Governments totally to abolish aerial warfare.
