SLUM CLEARANCE
PLANS FOR COSTLY SCHEME (British Official Wireless ) RUGBY, April 10. (Received April 11, at 5.5 p.in.) The estimates for a £5,500,000 programme of slum clearance and housing development, placed before the London County Council, are understood to foreshadow one of the greatest slum clearances and reconstruction schemes.
