THE WEATHER
The weather yesterday was overcast and showery, following heavy rain on Wednesday night. A moderate south-west breeze prevailed. The maximum temperature was 58 degrees. CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, April 11. Fine weather, with a light westerly breeze, prevailed to-day. The barometer remained steady, and was slightly below normal. , . ~ WELLINGTON, April 11. A strong and squally northerly wind blew all day, but the weather otherwise was fine and mild and sunny. The maximum temperature was 67.3 degrees. CHRISTCHURCH, April 11. The weather to-day was overcast, but fine till about 4 pan., when heavy ram started. The maximum temperature was 64 degrees. A strong south-west wind was blowing. The barometer is rising sharply, and now registers 30.04 degrees.
