The following Is the official weather forecast :—: The northern depression is now centred west of Cape Maria van Dlemen, while an anticyclone is still located east of the South Island. Pressure has risen over south-eastern Australia. Indications are for: Winds— Easterly to northerly, strong to gale force north of New Plymouth and Napier, and elsewhere light to moderate, but freshening and veering to south-easterly soon in the far south; southerlles becoming general after about 24 hours. Seas—New Zealand Waters— Heavy north of East Cape, and rough north of Cape Egmont and Castlepolnt; elsewhere smooth to moderate. —Eastern Tasman Sea—Strong north-east winds to gales in the northern portion, with rough seas, later changing to southerly; moderate but freshening east to south-east winds, with moderate but rising seas in the southern portion. Weather— Cloudy to overcast, and rain over the northern half of the North Island, with some heavy falls, and extending gradually over most of the Dominion; temperatures warm but becoming colder during to-morrow In the South Island. After discharging and loading general cargo, she sailed last night for Oamaru, Tlmaru and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington, Picton iind Wanganui. Parera is due here to-day from Port WaiJrato and Wellington and will sail this evening for Timaru, Lvttelton, Wellington, New Plymouth and Port Waikato. Her cargo for Dunedln will' include a transhipment from the Port Auckland. , " ~ Karetu, from Bluff, should berth at Dunedin this morning. She is timed to sail at noon for Oamaru, Tlmaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Auckland and Sydney. Totara Is due at Dunedin this morning from Westport and Greymouth, via Bluff. She will discharge a cargo of coal and sail for Westport direct this afternoon. Holmdale is scheduled to reach Dunedln tomorrow from Wellington and Whangarei. She will sail to-morrow evening from Wellington, •Picton and Wanganui, via Oamaru. Timaru and Lyttelton. Wingatui Is -due here on Saturday from Wellington direct and will sail on Monday for Timaru, Lvttelton, Wellington and Auckland. Storm is expected here on Friday from Wanganul and is timed to sail the same day for Wanganul and New Plymouth, via ports. KALINGO FROM GRAFTON. The Union Company advises that the Kalingo will load at Grafton about March 22, Newcastle on March 29, and Sydney on March 30 for Bluff, Dunedin, Tlmaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. NARBADA IN THE EAST. The Union Company's Eastern trader Narbada Is to load at Calcutta early In April for Auckland, Lyttelton, Wellington and Dunedin, via Penang, Singapore and Samarang. , MAHENO'S LAST TRIP. The Union Company advises that the Maheno will leave Melbourne to-morrow for Bluff and Dunedin. She Is due here on March 19 and will then pay off. REMUERA HOMEWARD BOUND. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Remuera, which left Wellington on February 36 for London, arrived at Panama on March 8. and sailed from Colon on March 9. Sha is due at London on March 24. RUAHINE'S ARRIVAL. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Ruahlne, from London, was expected to reach Auckland early this -morning. BYRD EXPEDITION SHIPS. Messrs H.' L. Tapley arid Co., local agents for the Byrd Antarctic Expedition, advise that the Jacob Ruppert and the Bear of Oakland will sail this morning for New York. MESSAGE FROM RANGITANE. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that a radio message has been received from the Rangitane, en route from England to New Zealand, that the vessel Is expected to reach Wellington at 10.30 a.m. to-day. WAIPAWA FROM LONDON. The Shaw, Savlll vessel Waipawa Is to leave London on April 10 for Port Chalmers direct, arriving at Dunedin about May 18. From this port the vessel will proceed to Lyttelton and Tlmaru to complete discharge of Inward cargo. The Waipawa is to leave the Dominion on June 25 for London.
