THE KAIKORAI CLUB The second series of handicap races under the auspices of the Kaikorai Amateur Swimming Club were decided under tine weather conditions on Saturday, las feature of the meeting was the fine attendance of junior competitors, whose enthusiasm and proficiency was much appreciated by the fair gathering of spectators. Time, 43 4-osec. „ , Intermediate Boys' 100 Yards Breaststroke.— D. Hunter (Bsec) 1, J. Ness (4sec) 2. Only starters. Junior Girls' 25 Yards Breaststroke.—A. Hortor (6sec) 1. A. Steel (4sec) 2, K. These races completed the junior events The junior boys' cup was won by Ralph Smith (five points), with R. Anderson and D. Laing (three points each) runnersup. The junior girls' cup was won by Rita Smith, with A. Steel runner-up and A. Hortor third. Misses J. Huddart and H. Ness are the lenders in the senior ladies' competition, with Miss L. Hamer running a close third, only half a point behind. The position in the senior men's is as follows: —G. Laing (nine points), E. Moore (seven and a-half points), E. Sonntag (seven points). K. Nelson, J. Ness, and D. Hunter have an equal number of points in the boys' intermediate class.
