Frencham, who was stationed at Ningkiang, in the province of South-west Shensi, where he founded a mission four years ago, has been captured by bandits. There is no news of his wife. WOMAN CAPTIVE'S EXPERIENCES LONDON, February 23. (Received Feb. 24, at 9 p.m.) Miss Grace Emblem, a member of the China Inland Mission, who was captured by bandits with Messrs Hayman and Bosshardt, who are still in captivity, has arrived in London to recuperate. She attributes her freedom to the devotion of a Chinese cook, Suenlin, who was employed by the mission. Suenlin begged the bandits' permission to accompany her, and he frequently assisted her during the eight days' march to the mountains, where they continually passed the bodies of people the bandits had killed. Miss Emblem then collapsed, exhausted, and the bandits went on. Seunlin remained and escorted her to a Catholic mission, where she stayed until the roads were sufficient);; safe for her to reach Hongkong.
