SECESSION PETITION
WESTERN AUSTRALIA JOINT COMMITTEE TO REPORT LONDON", February 22. The Order Paper for the House of Lords on Tuesday contains a motion for Lords Goschen, Lothian and Wright to serve on a joint committee to consider the receivability of the Western Australian petition. The terms of reference empower the committee to agree with the House of Commons representatives upon the chairmanship, and to hear counsel and examine sworn witnesses.
