"The average English seaside town is unrivalled anywhere in Europe," said Mr B*. R. Yerbury, an architect, in a lecture to the Architectural Association in London recently. While bestowing this praise upon seaside resorts, Mr Yerbury was harsh in his criticism of indiscriminatf building development along the coast. He visualised a completely new seaside resort on a properly planned basis. Railway stations would be as near the sea front as possible, and also coaching stations, parking places, and aerodromes. Every resort would possess an aerodrome before many years jiad passed.
