CHURCH OF CHRIST
GARDEN PARTY AT GLEN LEITH The beautiful grounds of Glen Leith College were the scene of a successful garden party on Saturday, conducted by the city and suburban Churches of Christ in aid of the Church of Christ Theological College. The weather was fine and the grounds were well sheltered from the southerly wind which was blowing. There was an excellent attendance and many people availed themselves of the opportunity to wander at will through the attractive native bush surrounding the college. The various stalls did a good trade during the afternoon, the financial results of the venture being highly satisfactory. The stalls were run by the different branches of the church as follows: Sewing and fancy goods, St. Andrews street; sweets and cakes, South Dunedin; ice cream and drinks, Roslyn; produce, Mornington; tea rooms, North-East Valley. There was keen competition in the amusements section, in which the various devices were unde/ the charge of the following groups of men: Shooting gallery, St, Andrews street; coconut shies, South DunecTin; chocolate alley, North-East Valley.
