FOR NEW ZEALAND DEFENCE: FIRST VICKERS BOMBER.
Sir James Parr, High Commissioner for New Zealand, was present when the of the first Vickers Vildebeest torpedo bomber aircraft to the order of the New Zealand Government took place at the Weybridge (Surrey) works on January 31. This general view shows Sir James Parr speaking in front of the plane, with the chief pilot, Mr J. Summers, in the cockpit.
