Stated to be a professional "strong man ” in the summer and a crippled beggar in the winter, James Green, of Gainsborough drive, Westcliff, was charged at Southend, England, with begging. A constable said Green was singing in the street, with one arm strapped down as if he were deform d, leading people to think he was a cripple. But, the constable reminded the Bench, in summer Green performed as a strong man on Southend front, and used both arms vigorously to free himself from ropes when tied up by th.s crowd. Green, whom an inspector described as a pest, was ordered to leave Southend by the following Monday,
