Twenty schoolmasters have • been recruited In London for one of the world’s strangest schools, which is to be opened next term at Dehra Dun, in the Indian foothills of the Himalayas. The object of the school will be to stamp out the “old school tie” spirit in a country where it is too strong. Sons of princes and nobles will not be eligible, M. A. E. Foot, once a master at. Eton, has been appointed headmaster. More than 400 boys, drawn from warring sects, will be thrown together to stamp out caste and class.
