Holmdale is due here on Monday morning from Wellington. She will dock at Port Chalmers on Tuesday for cleaning and painting, and will load at Dunedin on Wednesday for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganul. MAHENO LEAVES MELBOURNE. The Union Company advises that the Maheno left' Melbourne at 10.30 a.m. on Wednesday for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington, via MUford Sound, with passengers, malls, and cargo. The freight includes transhipments ex tne -Hobson's Bay, Narkunda, Orford, and Asphallon. The Maheno Is due at Dunedin on Tuesday morning. PORT HUNTER FROM LIVERPOOL. Messrs J. W. Swift and Co. advise that the C.and D. Line steamer Port Hunter is now due at Dunedin on Sunday from Liverpool, via northern ports. After discharging a quantity of Home cargo she will sail about Monday for New Plymouth to complete discharge. INVERBANK FOR FIJI. The Bank Line motor ship Inverbank, having discharged a part cargo of phosphates from Nauru Island, will sail to-day for Suva. Shewill load copra in the Fiji group for the United Kingdom. COPTIC BOUND FOB LONDON. Having completed her Homeward loading, the Shaw, Savlll Company's motor ship Coptic left Port. Chalmers early s yesterday morning for Southampton and London, via Panama. The vessel Is due at Wellington on March 14. MONOWAI FOB SYDNEY. The Monowal is due at Wellington this morning from Sydney, via Auckland. She is to leave the northern port this afternoon for Sydney. WAIBANGI'S MAIDEN VOYAGE. The new .motor ship Walrangl sailed from Liverpool on the morning of February 17 on her maiden voyage. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line's Port Napier was to leave Bluff yesterday for London, via Cape Horn. VESSELS LEAVE PANAMA. The Karamea and the new motor ship Walpawa left Colon on the morning of February 15 and 17 respectively. Both are bound from Napier for London, via Panama, the Karamea having left on January 26 and the Walpawa on January 31. CANADIAN VICTOR LATEB. The Canadian Victor, which left Halifax on February .5. for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin, cleared Loulsberg on February 9. She is now due at Auckland on March, 19. CAMBRIDGE LEAVES CURACAO. The Cambridge, which left Wellington on January 23 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow, via Panama, sailed from Curacao on February 17. MAIMOA FOR LONDON. The Shaw, Savlll and Albion Company's steamer Maimoa, with a cargo of produce and general, including wool, left Lyttelton on Wednesday morning for London direct. HUNTINGDON FOR BLUFF. The Federal Line steamer Huntingdon left Port Chalmers last evening for Bluff, to complete her homeward loading. She Is scheduled to sail finally from Bluff on Monday for London and West of England ports, via Panama. BULK MOTOB SPIBIT CARGO. The tanker Oil Reliance Is now en route from the Black Sea to New Zealand ports with a cargo of bulk motor spirit consigned to the Associated Motorists' Petrol Company, Ltd. She Is due at Auckland about March 26. and should reach Dunedin early In April. SPEED OF ITALIAN LINERS. The Italian Government has published, details of a new premium scheme for increasing the speed of liners. The scheme will apply only to vessels of 18,000 tons gross, built in Italian yards, and which have not already had the benefit of the premium provided for in the law of 1929. To qualify for the premium the speed of the vessels Is to be increased by alteration to the hull or machinery. The alterations, which must be completed before June 30, 1938, must increase the speed on trials to at least 20 knots. The new speed is to be at least three Knots higher than the vessel's average during the voyages made In the 12 months previous to the publication of the decree. PERSONAL. Sir C. T.
