Heports ol meetings ot branches ar* requested but they should be furnished promptly, tor the publication ot reports that are not supplied within a week from the date ot the meeting cannot be assured.
The Green Island Women's institute held its first meeting for the yec'r on Tuesday evening, Mrs W. T. Smellie presiding. Nominations were received for the various committees. Miss J. Miller was appointed delegate to the annual meeting to be held at Balclutha. Items by Mesdames Willman and Shepperd and Mi9s Kerr were much appreciated. The hostesses were Mesdames Bell, Barnes, M'Donald, Winter, Mehalski, and Miss Walker.
