The weather yesterday, was; overcast and threatening, with a : moderate southwest wind and iti^pentture of 54 ; degrees. The barometer. , - WELLINGTON, February 16. Dull weather prevailed to-day, and at times there were passing showers of misty rain. ’ The wind ’ was from the south-east in the late morning, and freshened in the , afternoon. The temperature at 4 p.m! was 63,2 degrees, and the maximum for the day 63.6 degrees.

CHRISTCHURCH, February 15. The weather to-dpy was overcast, with a fresh south-westerly breeze.' The maximum temperature was 61.9 degrees. Tiie barometer was steady .at 30.00 inches.
