EXPEDITION SHIPS
HIGH WINDS ENCOUNTERED MONTREAL, February 14. (Received Feb. 15, at 8 p.m.) According to a radio communication received to-day, the Jacob Ruppert emerged from The tempestuous sixties to-day, her noon position being 59.43 south, 173.45 east, about 890 miles from Dunedin. The Bear of Oakland is about 100 miles astern. The wind reached a velocity of 60 miles an hour, and once it was necessary to change the course to provide lee for the two aeroplanes, which are on the after hatch.
