Towards Owaka's score of 108, Harper (60) wa| the priß* cipal contributor, and Wills was the most successful bowler for Milton A with six wickets for 24. Milton's innings realised 152, the chief scorers being C. < Gregory (35), T.Wills (31), C/Cooinbe (30), and E. Qlver (20). The Milburn team travelled to Clydevale on Saturday afternoon to fulfil its A Grade shield fixture against Clutha Valley. Remarkably low scoring proved "a feature of. the game. Batting first, Clutha Valley was dismissed for 32, of which Scott scored 18. J. Kane, jun. (four for 16) and F. Bowie (six for 11) bowled for Milburn. The latter team was disr missed for 48 (Kane 19 and Mackersey 17). With three wickets' for: nil captured in one over, Geddes -was the most successful bowler for Clutha Valley; Scott also took four for 16.' In the B Grade, competition; Kaitungata defaulted, to Waihola.: Milton "B team travelled to Balclutha, and was defeated •byi South Otago High School by 29 runs.
