RATION RELIEF ' REINSTATED IN FPECIAL CASES: The Unemployment Board has decided; to reinstate the special ration relief in those cases where it was granted on the recommendation of the Plunket Society.: Those relief workers who were in receipt of this relief at the time that it was recently discontinued should call at their focal post office on the usual day during the week ending February 9, when, they will receive their ration cards and orders. They should produce their levy coupon books to the; local post office for return to the Government Employment Bureau for suitable endorsement. The levy books will be returned to the iocal post offices.. • ■, '"■ ;•:•■

The policy of the Government and the Unempfyoment Board was severely criticised, especially the attitude of Mr Bromley, deputy chairman of the Unemployment Board, in his reply to the deputation that met him when in Dunedim The following resolution was carried' unanimously:—"That this public meeting, of Dunedin citizens demands that the Government immediately grant an increasn of 10s per man to all unemployed. We are of the opinion that it is impossible for men and women unemployed to exist on the present allocation granted by the Unemployment Board." ■
