TASMAN YACHT RACE

QUESTION OF POSTPONEMENT J. W. S. M'ARTHUE'S REQUEST. (Special to Dail? Times.) AUCKLAND, November 28. The request made on behalf of J. W. S. M'Arthur, owner of the yacht Morewa, to the Akarana Yacht Club to have the start of the forthcoming Yacht Race from Auckland to Melbourne postponed until about December 22, will be considered at a special meeting of the club. The owners of the other competing yachts, Ngataki and Te Repunga and the representative of M'Arthur have been invited to attend the meeting, and as the skippers of the two smaller boats have raised no objections to a postponement there is every possibility that M'Arthur's request will be granted. In response to a message from the Victorian \acht Racing Association of Melbourne the Akarana Club has advised the association by cable that the definite date of the start of the race would be cabled on Tuesday, and that there would be three competitors.
