Breeze, which arrived at Dunedin yesterday morning from Bluff, sailed last evening for Tlmaru and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington, Picton, Wanganul, and New Plymouth. , Hoimdale Is now due at Dunedin on Saturday from Wellington, and is timed to sail the same day for Wellington, Picton, Nelson, and Wanganul, via ports. Gale has been fixed to load at Dunedin on Saturday for Tlmaru. Lyttelton. Wellington, Wanganui, and New Plymouth. Opihl Is to leave Wellington on Monday for Dunedin. She will load at this port on December 5 for Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth. DALCROSS TO SAIL. The steamer Dalcross. which Is discharging phosphates at the Birch street wharf, is to ■all this afternoon for Port Kembla to replenish her bunkers. THK ABKL, TASMAN. The Intercolonial steamer Abel Tasman sailed last evening for Tlmaru to discharge the remainder of her cargo from Australia. She will afterwards load at Wanganul and Greymouth for Sydney.

THE CANADIAN VICTOR. The Canadian National steamer Canadian Victor is now expected to arrlvo at Dunedin from Montreal, via Australian ports, about December 5. She will load at Dunedln and Lyttelton. for New York, Boston, and Halifax. TREHERBERT FROM SEYCHELLES. Advice has been received that the steamer Treherbert is due at Auckland to-morrow from Seychelles Island. The vessel has a cargo of guano for. discharge at Auckland and Wanganui. CARGO FROM CALCUTTA. The Union Company advises that the chartered steamer Narbada, which is to leave Calcutta on December 5 for Fenang, Singapore, and Samarang to complete loading for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunodin, and Bluff, has her cargo space fully booked. Additional cargo from Calcutta will be brought by .the British-India steamer, Querimba, which is to leave Calcutta on December 5 for Australia and Auckland. Both the Narbada and Querimba are due at -Auckland early in January. CARGO FBOM AUSTRALIA. The Waikoualti left Bluff on Saturday for Sydney. ' She will load at Newcastle, Sydney, and Melbourne for Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru, and Lyttelton. The Kalmiro, after loading at Edlthburg, will complete at Adelaide and Melbourne, clearing there on December 3 for New Plymouth, Auckland, Portland, Napier, Wellington, and Dunedin. , The Kalingb left Bluff on Tuesday for Westport and Greymouth to load for Melbourne j-.nd Adelaide. The Gabrlella was to leave Newcastle on Tuesday and Sydney yesterday for Wanganui and Greymouth. COMMANDER OF STRATHAIRD. Captain E. A. J. W. Carter, commander of the Strathaird, made his second visit to New Zealand last week. It was as third officer on a sleaniEr bringing tea from India that Captain Carter spent sis hours in- Auckland in 1910. . Thus he did not have much time to see New Zealand, and, without examining his papers/ he is not able to recall the name of the vessel on which he. came. The. present voyage is Captain Carter's first in command of the' Strathaird. Tall and alert, he looks surprisingly young to have command of such a large vessel. LESS SWEDISH TONNAGE IDLE. The volume of lald-up tonnage in Sweden on August 1 last, according to the report of the Swedish Shipowners' Association, totalled 60 vessels of 137,944 tons dw., compared with 74 of 191,318 tons on July 1, 121 of 256,000 tons on June 1, and 205 of 405,000 tons on May 1. The tonnage Idle at the beginning of this month, classified according to size, was as follows:—Vessels- between 100 and 1000 tons gross, 28 of 14,079 tons dw.; 1000 to 2000 tons gross, 21 of 36,633 tons dw.; 2000 to 3000 tons gross, 2 of 6825 tons dw.; 3000 to 4000 tons gross, 2 of 10,640 tons dw.; 4000 to 5000 tons gro3s, 1 of 7300 tons dw.; over 5000 tons gross, 6 of 62,467 tons dw.
