BANK OF ENGLAND GIANT
In the course of the excavations tot the rebuilding of the Bank of England remains of about 800 buried peopl* wert found. The bodies included that of Jenkmit the Bank of England giant, who die« about ]750 and was interred in the Btnfe premises to prevent body-snatcher* •tensing the corpse. His coffin, made of lead, and weighing 3ewt, wag over seven fe«* long.
