A RECORD PUMPKIN
Mr George Cartwright, a corporation foreman, of Birkenhead, near Liverpool, has grown what is believed to be the biggest pumpkin ever produced in England. It has a diameter of more than 18 inches, stands a foot from the ground, weighs 561 b, and is still growing. Last year’s all-England record pumpkin weighed 401 b.
