THE WEATHER
Light showers were experienced yesterday morning, but the conditions were fine and pleasant for the greater part of the day. There was an absence of wind, and the maximum temperature was 64 degrees. CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH. {Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, November 16. Light showers were experienced early this morning. Afterwards the weather was fine, but cloudy and unsettled, the wind being moderate from east-north-east. The barometer fell slightly and registers 29.93 in. WELLINGTON, November 16. The weather was fine, warm, and sultry to-day, the sky at times being covered by thin clouds, a light to moderate northerly wind prevailed. The temperature at 4 p.m. was 68.6 degrees, and the maximum for the day 72.5. CHRISTCHURCH. November 16. The weather to-day was fine and warm. The maximum temperature was 78.1 degrees. A light north-west wind blew in the morning, changing to a moderate northerly in the afternoon. The barometer is now rising, the reading this evening being 29.93 in.
